A ready-to-use F1 command in a few clicks
Choose an action, key and modifiers. The builder creates a valid bind command, explains how to save it and provides a separate command to clear it.
Choose a regular key, function key, wheel or side mouse button, and add Shift/Ctrl/Alt.
Paste the command into F1 and run writecfg. Standard bind presets also provide a removal command.
Common Rust bind questions
How do I set a bind in Rust?
Choose an action and key, copy the command, open Rust’s F1 console and paste it. Run writecfg to save your settings.
Can I remove a bind?
Yes. For key binds, the builder provides a separate Unbind command to clear the chosen key.
Do I need a Slx account?
No. The builder runs in your browser without registration and does not send your chosen keys to a server.
Where do the commands come from?
Presets are based on public Rust commands and Facepunch materials. Each preset shows its source in the interface.
What happens if a key is already used by the game?
A bind replaces the key’s standard action: binding E can replace opening containers; binding Space can replace jumping. The builder warns about these keys and suggests a modifier. A combination such as [leftalt+e] leaves the standard action intact. Restore E with bind e use.
Can I create several binds at once?
Yes. Add to set collects commands in a list, and Copy full set copies them together with writecfg. Paste the whole block into F1. The set is saved only in your browser and survives a page reload.
Why do binds disappear after restarting?
Rust saves them only after writecfg. Without it, the settings last until you exit the game. The builder automatically adds writecfg to the end of your set.
