How to add Rust+ CCTV cameras

Add a camera in four steps: configure the CCTV camera in the game, open the camera section in Slx Rust Tracker, give it a clear name and request a test snapshot. You can then check your base after a raid alert without joining the server. Team access to cameras is configured separately.

Example
Live interface example: camera cards with CCTV codes, grid squares and Telegram snapshot requests, using the same components as the dashboard.
01

Configure the camera in Rust

Place a CCTV Camera, assign it a unique identifier and check its view through an in-game Computer Station.

02

Open cameras in Slx Rust Tracker

Rust+ must already be connected to the current server. Select Add camera and paste the CCTV code without extra spaces.

03

Give the camera a clear name

Entrance, Roof or North external wall helps you respond to a raid alert faster than a random code.

04

Request a test snapshot

Make sure the camera responds and shows the sector you need. Then decide which teammates should have access.

Practical example

Cameras at the entrance and on the roof

Add two cameras named Main entrance and Roof, request test snapshots and make sure each shows the right sector. Your team can then check the base quickly when an alert arrives.

Check the result

  • The CCTV code contains no extra spaces or typing errors.
  • The camera responds to a test request.
  • Its name clearly describes the sector it watches.
  • Access is granted only to the teammates who need it.
Things to know

The camera is not responding

Check power, the CCTV code, your active Rust+ connection and server availability. A connection error does not remove the camera from your dashboard.

Security

Keep CCTV codes private. Removing a camera from Slx Rust Tracker deletes its code from the service, but does not remove or reconfigure the in-game device.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to add a camera?

The camera’s in-game CCTV code and an active Rust+ connection. Open the camera section, give the camera a clear name and request a test snapshot.

The camera is not responding. What should I check?

Check power, the CCTV code, your active Rust+ connection and server availability. A connection error does not remove the camera from your dashboard.

Can I publish a CCTV code?

Keep CCTV codes private. Use the dashboard to grant camera access to selected teammates; that is the safe way to share the view.

What happens if I remove a camera from the service?

Slx Rust Tracker forgets the code. The in-game device is neither removed nor reconfigured.
